
Tanzania Bureau of Norms (TBS) is Tanzania’s sole Norms body, formerly established by the Norms ActNo. 3 of 1975, which was repealed and replaced by the Norms ActNo. 2 of 2009. It's a Parastatal Organization under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. The Bureau was established as part of the sweats by the government to strengthen the supporting institutional structure for the assiduity and commerce sectors of the frugality. Specifically,
TBS was commanded to shoulder measures for quality control of products of all descriptions and to promote standardization in assiduity and commerce. TBS introduced externship programs for graduates from different academic backgrounds to have exposure in development issues and a first- hand print of the day-to- day working terrain of the Bureau.
TBS is presently looking for Tanzanians who are dynamic, married, suitably good, devoted and eager to learn and develop new gests through assigned tasks. Vision “ Sustainable standardization for high quality livelihood society”.

1. Parchment in Electrical Engineering (1 post for Conservation of Laboratory outfit duties).
2. Parchment in Electronics Engineering (1 post for Conservation of Laboratory outfit duties).
3. Parchment in Mechanical Engineering (1 post for Conservation of Laboratory outfit duties).
4. Bachelorette of Science in Computer Science, ICT or Computer Engineering (1 post ICT duties).
5. Bachelorette of Electrical Engineering (3 posts for Import and Export Control duties)
6. Bachelorette of Electronics Engineering (3 posts for Import and Export Control duties)
7. Bachelorette of Chemical Processing Engineering (4 posts for Import and Export Control duties).
8. Trade Test all situations, Certificate or Diploma in Plumbing and Pipe fitting (1 post for Conservation duties).
9. Trade Test all situations, Certificate or Diploma in Refrigeration and Air exertion (1 post for Conservation duties).
10. Trade Test all situations, Certificate or Diploma in Carpentry (1 post for Conservation duties).
11. Trade Test all situations, Certificate or Diploma in Masonry (1 post for Conservation duties).
12. Bachelorette of Marketing or Public Relations (2 posts for Public Relations and Marketing duties).
13. Parchment in Laboratory Science and Technology, Oil and Gas or Petroleum (4 posts for Energy Marking duties).
14. Trade Test all situations or Certificate in Laboratory Sidekicks, Laboratory Science and Technology, Oil and Gas or Petroleum (6 posts for Energy Marking duties).
15. Bachelorette of Accountancy, Finance, Business Administration majoring in Accountancy, Finance (6 posts for Accounts and Finance duties).
16. Certificate or Diploma in Records Management (6 posts for Records Management duties).
GENERAL CONDITIONS
Aspirants must be Tanzanians;
ii. Aspirants must attach an over-to- date Curriculum Vitae (CV) having dependable connections; postal address,e-mail and telephone figures;
iii. Aspirants should indicate three estimable arbiters; one adjudicator must be from the Academic Institution where he/ she graduated;
iv. The maximum period for individual program is one time, no intern shall be reappointed as Bureau’s intern after completion of one time period;
v. All interns conducted or presently conducting externship program at TBS are ineligible to apply.
vi. Aspirants must attach their pukka clones of the following instruments;
- a) Degree and separate Reiterations;
- b) Diploma/ Certificate;
- c) Form IV and or VI National Examination Instruments; and
- d) Birth instrument or National Identity Card;
vii. Attaching clones of the following instruments is rigorously not accepted;
Form IV and form VI Results slips; and
Witnesses and Partial reiterations.
viii. Instruments from foreign examination bodies should be vindicated by the applicable authorities (TCU, NACTE or NECTA);
ix. Donation of forged instruments and other information is banned else it'll affect into disqualification and legal action;
x. Aspirants must attach a letter of countersign from a Original Government Speaker or Administrative Officer attesting your place of hearthstone;
xi. Aspirants must attach a brief paper stating the reasons for the need of externship and the prospects after a time;
xii. Only good campaigners will be informed on the interview date;
xiii. Successful and accepted interns shall not be paid hires or any remuneration attached to hires rather they will be supported with some quantum of plutocrat to cover for transport and lunch charges;
xiv. Externship practice isn't a guarantee for employment at TBS. In case there's employment openings at TBS or away, interns shall follow the laid down employment procedures as will be quested;
xv. Please write the title of the post you're applying on the envelope;
xvi. Operation letters must be inked and hand written in English;
xvii. Any operation that won't follow the below conditions will be nominated as disqualified.
