Sustainable Agriculture Tanzania (SAT) is a non-profit organisation that was incorporated in June 2011 in accordance with the NGOs Act of 2002 and the Tanzanian Society Act [CAP. 337 R.E. 2002] with registration numbers S.A. 17581 and 00NGO/R/0833. SAT Vision: The majority of farmers employ recognised agroecological techniques to raise their standard of living, protect the environment, and ease the strain on natural resources.
SAT Mission: To improve knowledge dissemination in order to change farming practises in TZ. to increase farmers' capacity so they can actively participate in the value chain. to work together with appropriate partners in the public and private sectors to increase their agroecological capacity.
to serve as a credible organisation that approaches the comprehensive transformation of agriculture into an environmentally responsible and commercially viable sector in a transparent, accountable, and cost-effective manner. SAT deals with social and environmental issues brought on by environmentally damaging and unsustainable farming methods that cause food insecurity, poverty, and malnutrition as a result of the loss of top soil, water resources, and forests.
