Main Duties and Responsibilities
- Operate Equipment: Run and manage crushers and related machinery to process raw materials into specified sizes based on production requirements.
- Monitor Operations: Keep a close eye on the equipment to ensure safe, efficient material processing. Aim to maximize production and minimize any interruptions.
- Regular Inspections: Check crushers and associated machinery regularly to spot and fix any mechanical issues or safety risks.
- Maintain Records: Accurately document crusher operations, production outputs, material details, and equipment maintenance activities, including safety checks.
- Report Preparation: Create reports and other documentation as needed according to company policies and regulatory standards.
- Weighbridge Management: Ensure full operation and availability of the weighbridge.
- Record Keeping: Log all trucks, whether empty or loaded, in the online weighbridge system (Mizani) for automatic data storage.
- Workplace Cleanliness: Keep your working area clean at all times.
- Data Integration: Ensure seamless integration between Mizani and EAM by entering valid P.O. numbers and delivery note details during the receipt of quarry raw materials.
- Expert Knowledge: Demonstrate a deep understanding of mining operations, production processes, maintenance, process control, and health and safety practices.
- Safety Compliance: Follow all safety protocols to prevent accidents and environmental incidents. Report any safety risks or near-misses to the management team.
- OSHA Compliance: Make sure that all work adheres to OSHA guidelines and statutory safety requirements.
- Policy Adherence: Comply with HC Group’s Code of Business Conduct, compliance policies, and relevant guidelines.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Supervisor.
Minimum Requirements (Qualifications)
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mining Engineering or a related field.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software and other mining-related programs for planning and design.
- Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with health and safety regulations in manufacturing is a plus.
